New Low Profile Solar Hot Water System from Velux

By

Especially with the downturn in the economy lately, I have been getting more and more calls and visits from suppliers and manufacturer reps than ever before. The upside is making it easier staying current on some of the latest technology and I really wanted to pass on some news about this new solar hot water system from Velux. Velux has been a standard of quality in residential skylights as long as I can remember. Apparently they have been selling these units for many years in Europe but it seems the U.S. is so often one of the last countries to wise up on this stuff.

One of the major turn-offs I think for many consumers to these systems in the past has been the appearance, especially if roof-mounted and even more especially if on the front of their house. Many Home Owner's Associations won't even allow them. But now Velux is pushing this new low-profile, architectural quality system that can hardly be discerned from their normal, low-profile, and quite attractive skylights. They can now even be considered an attractive architectural element to add to the pallette.

They have already had a lot of success getting Home Owner's Associations to approve these.  In addition, the whole system comes as a complete, packaged system and can be design to fit your particular situation.  The panels are remarkably efficent and require less surface area than other systems.

For further information see Velux's website on this new system- http://www.veluxusa.com/products/solarWater/
